YCSD Account & IT Information



Yamhill Carlton SD Account

Every new employee is provided with a YCSD account. This account provides access to computers and applications used by the District.


Below is a list of applications that can be signed into by using your YCSD account:

  • Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs, etc)

  • Windows computers

  • Frontline Absence Management

  • Synergy SIS for teachers


Your YCSD account details have been sent to the personal email registered in our HR database. The email will be from henryl@ycschools.org. The information sent in the email will be restated below:


Your username, unless stated otherwise, is lastnamefirstinitial.


Each new employee has been sent a randomly generated password to the employee’s personal email address on file.


Email Access

All staff are able to access their YCSD email by navigating to www.gmail.com and signing in with the aforementioned credentials, appending @ycschools.org to the end of the username. This can be done on either a personal device, or District provided computer. 


Computer Access & Password Changes

All staff are provided with either a Windows laptop, or a Chromebook laptop upon their day of arrival. The ability to change your YCSD account password depends on if you have a Windows laptop or Chromebook laptop. To sign in to either type of computer, use the aforementioned credentials.


Differentiating between a Windows laptop and Chromebook laptop: A Chromebook laptop will have a badge in the top left corner of the lid of the laptop. A Windows laptop will not.


Those with a Windows laptop can change their password by following the instructions sent to their YCSD email, which will also be restated below:


  • Sign in using your YCSD username and password.

  • Once signed in, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and select "Change a password." Follow the prompts to create your new password.

  • After changing your password, sign out of the Windows device (press Ctrl + Alt + Delete and select "Sign out").

  • You can now sign into your device and email with your new personal password. Note that other applications, such as Synergy, might take up to 1 hour to sync the newly created password.



Those with a Chromebook laptop will not be able to change their password without assistance. Please submit a ticket to support@ycschools.org, and a request will be made to create a personal password.


Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

The first time you sign in to your YCSD email, you will be prompted to set up up MFA. All employees are required to have MFA set up for their accounts. Directions have been sent to your YCSD email if you require assistance.

Printing

All employee’s that have a YCSD account are able to access the printing services in the District. To do this, follow the directions below:


If you have a Windows laptop: contact henryl@ycschools.org to request print access on your laptop.
